Our INACCORD Med/Arb model allows disputants to begin their conflict resolution process in mediation, yet agree that if any issue becomes unresolvable over the course of the negotiations it will be moved to INACCORD arbitration. In this way, mediations that have yielded many collaborative solutions will not be forfeited due to a minority of irreconcilable issues.

Once these issues are identified, the mediator will provide the disputants with the names of three potential INACCORD Arbitrators, one of whom will ultimately render a decision on the contentious issue. The disputants will then conclude their mediation by signing the Memorandum of Agreement, with the stipulation that specifically outlined issues will be decided by the INACCORD arbitrator.
